Progress Baptist Church New Year’s Jubilee
Pastor Doug Raynes and the congregation of Progress Baptist Church invite you to their New Year's Jubilee on January 4-7. Sunday services begin at 10 AM and 12 PM. Monday through Wednesday, services will be held at 10 AM and 7 PM. Preaching by Bro. Larry Raynes, Bro. Brian McBride, Pastor Mark Stroud, and Bro. Tony Finney.

Mills River Town Council Meeting

Transylvania Board of Commissioners Meeting
The Transylvania Board of Commissioners Meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 12, at 4 PM. It will be held in the Multipurpose Chambers at the Transylvania County Administration Building, located at 101 S. Broad Street, Brevard, NC. In accordance with North Carolina open meeting law, all meetings are open to the public.
The City of Brevard
The City of Brevard will not collect solid waste or cardboard on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The make-up collection day will be Thursday, January 22, 2026.
The City of Hendersonville
The City of Hendersonville offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. There will be no collection of garbage, recycling, and brush.
Collection for Monday customers will be delayed by one week with collection resuming on Monday, January 26, 2026.
The Transylvania County Tourism Development Authority's Destination Infrastructure Committee
The upcoming Transylvania County Tourism Development Authority's Marketing Committee meeting on Tuesday, December 16th, has been canceled. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 20th, at 10 am in the meeting room on the second floor of the Chamber Building at 175 East Main St in Brevard.
