Benefit Singing for Family of Pastor Larry Carver

There will be a benefit singing for the family of Pastor Larry Carver, Pastor of Rose Hill Baptist Church who passed away several weeks ago. The Benefit will be Sunday, July 28th at 2pm at Cedar Mountain Baptist Church in Asheville. Simple Faith Quartet will sing at 2pm, Hightop Mountain Harmony at 3pm, and the Edwards Family at 4pm. Refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall. All proceeds will help the Carver Family with Medical/Burial Expenses. Free Summer Meals for Kids

This summer, FREE meals are available for children 18 and under at various locations in WNC. In Transylvania County, meals can be picked up Monday-Thursday from 11am-2pm at Champion Park Pool in Rosman and at Brevard Middle School at the front of the school cafeteria door. In Polk County- meals and be picked up on Thursday afternoons from 4-6pm at Polk County High School and includes 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches. In Henderson County, every weekday the lunch buses will be at Jackson Park-shelter #4 and Edneyville Community Center at 11am and East Flat Rock Park and Dana Community Park at 12 noon. These meals are made possible through the Department of School Nutrition.
