The City of Hendersonville
For the City of Hendersonville, there will be no collection of garbage, recycling, and brush on Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday. Collection for Friday customers will be delayed by one week with collection resuming on Friday, April 10, 2026. Holiday collection schedules are available on the City’s website at https://www.hendersonvillenc.gov/public-works/garbage-collection. For water/sewer issues occurring on holidays, please use the afterhours number at (828) 697-3073.
The City of Brevard
For the city of Brevard, there will be no solid waste and cardboard collection on Friday, April 3, 2026 due to Good Friday Holiday. There will be no makeup day scheduled at this time.
Passion Week Revival
You are invited to Passion Week Revival Services, Sunday March 29th-Friday April 3rd. Services begin at the Jones Gap Baptist Church in Hendersonville on Sunday night at 6 PM and Monday and Tuesday nights at 7PM. Then Wednesday thru Friday services are moved to the Crossroads Baptist Church in Zirconia starting at 7 PM nightly. The City of Hendersonville
The City of Hendersonville will begin its spring bulk leaf collection service for City Residents. Bulk leaf collection will continue throughout the month of March and conclude on April 3, 2026. Ways to Prepare:Loose leaves only – do not bag leaves during bulk leaf season. Remove sticks, limbs, rocks or other debris that could damage collection equipment.Pile leaves just outside the curb or sidewalk and out of the roadways to keep walkways clear and storm drains. Bulk leaf crews will make rounds every 10-14 days.There is no need to call Public Works to request pickup as the service is automatically provided for City Residents.For questions about bulk leaf collection, please visit www.hvlnc.gov/yardwaste or call the Public Works Department at (828) 697-3084.

A Grief Share Support Group for people grieving death of a loved one is starting on Tuesdays on March 3rd-May 26th at 6PM-7:30 PM at the Cedar Mountain Baptist Church located at 7765 Greenville Hwy.
